Valleytines

Happy Valentines, ya'all. Oscar and I had a mini get away weekend in which we blasted off to Western Massachusetts for good times. There, we embarked on a yarn and record expedition.

Why bother going to a restaurant full of practically humping couples when you can explore the lesser side of Massachusetts by showering their yarn and record stores with my hard earned cash?! C'mon, that's great!

Our first stop was the fabulous Mystery Train Records where Oscar got a painting of a sad clown child and a 45 box with streaker stickers on it (not pictured here, clearly).

Thankfully, i also made it to the holiest of the holy yarn stores. Webs. It was great. I was psyched to see that they carry a small selection of Blue Moon Fiber yarns because I feel like you can't really get that anywhere but on their website. I bought yarn that resembles a rocket pop. I believe the color is "boobie 2".

Afterwards we were caught in a snow squall and decided to have some beer and burgers. Just what the soul needs when you just can't take the goddamn sight of snow anymore.

And I am pretty sure that Oscar dug his present..

Regardless, Happy Valentines day. If you aren't in a relationship I hope you took some well deserved time to love yourself today.

Oh, Hello

Hello blogosphere, I am Molly.

I would be described as a "twenty something" living across the River Charles in the Greater Boston Area. I currently live with my film and music enthusiast boyfriend, Oscar in a house on a hill.

I would definitely consider myself to be of the knitting ilk, and is primarily the reason for starting this blog. As I am sure a lot of you know, the internet has been a fabulous place for knitters to connect and share ideas (yada yada), so I have decided to throw my sinker into the pond.

Also, I need a place to post my arty/crafty adventures. This is for almost purely vain reasons because it keeps me motivated to keep creating. When I feel like I have an outlet for this sort of thing I am totally motivated to keep going. And as any recent art school graduate can tell you, its hard to hold onto the motivation.

Aside from crafty things, I enjoy retro kitsch, fine beers, baking adventures (not necessarily successful ones), and journaling. I adore anything creepy and my favorite holidays are Valentine's Day and Halloween. I recently graduated with my BFA in Photography. I am also looking forward to adventures in yarn dying.

By day, I am a preschool teacher superhero.
